iOS 27 Leak Reveals New Apple Intelligence Features and Major Siri Upgrade

Apple’s next iPhone update could strike a rare balance: fixing what frustrates users while quietly pushing deeper into AI. Early signals suggest iOS 27 may clean up long-standing issues, while introducing a fresh wave of Apple Intelligence features that reshape how people use their devices.

Recent updates already hint at this direction. With iOS 26.4, Apple addressed persistent keyboard complaints and softened the controversial Liquid Glass design. That groundwork suggests iOS 27 may prioritize performance and reliability before layering in new capabilities.

At the same time, leaks indicate Apple isn’t slowing down its AI push. Reports linked to MacRumors reveal code references pointing to several upcoming Apple Intelligence features, discovered by Nicolás Alvarez.

One of the most practical additions could upgrade Visual Intelligence. The feature may soon scan nutrition labels and break down food details instantly. There’s strong potential for integration with the Health app, allowing users to log meals with detailed nutritional data in seconds.

Another upgrade targets everyday convenience. Visual Intelligence could detect phone numbers and addresses on printed materials and save them directly into Contacts. Business cards, flyers, and receipts could become instantly usable without manual input.

Apple is also reportedly working on a smarter Wallet experience. A new tool may let users scan physical tickets or loyalty cards and convert them into digital passes automatically. This brings Apple closer to feature parity with competitors like Google Wallet, while simplifying how users manage physical items.

Safari may get a subtle but useful AI upgrade as well. Tab Groups could soon name themselves based on their content. A collection of recipe pages might turn into “Dinner Ideas,” while travel research could become “NYC Plans” without any manual effort.

The biggest AI shift, however, still revolves around Siri. Apple is expected to introduce a major overhaul powered by Apple Intelligence, aiming to make the assistant more context-aware and far more useful in daily tasks.

None of these features are confirmed for release just yet. Apple typically unveils major updates during WWDC in June, where the full scope of iOS 27 will become clear.

If these leaks hold true, iOS 27 could mark a turning point — not through flashy changes, but by quietly making the iPhone smarter, faster, and far more intuitive.
